Employers are impressed when employees
take the initiative to further their education. The
more experience and knowledge an employee has the more
attractive they are to current and future employers.
Barry Dinkins, Human Resources:
When I’m looking through resumes and applications
I pay close attention to two things: education and experience
and one can offset the other. In all honesty a degree
speaks volumes about a person’s capability. It
not only says that a person has the skills, knowledge
and ability to do a job but it also comments on their
level of commitment and dedication. I’ve heard
managers say that when promotion time comes around they
look for someone who has been consistently attentive
and resourceful as well as those who have furthered
their education while on the job. A well-educated employee
is a great asset to any company.
